The Maccabees announce surprise tour of intimate venues to unveil new songs. The Maccabees ended 2007 on a high with a triumphant sold-out date at London’s Roundhouse and great acclaim for their debut album “Colour It In”: Artrocker made it their Album of The Year, Xfm short-listed it for their Debut Album of The Year and NME called it “The best alt.pop record of 2007, no contest”. Not a band to rest on their laurels, The Maccabees headed straight into the studio where they have been crafting songs for their sophomore record.
The Brighton boys are eager to road-test the fruits of their labours, and as befits one of the hardest working bands around, have announced a surprise tour of venues significantly smaller than those they have grown used to playing which means a great opportunity for fans to catch The Maccabees in the sweaty confines of the Concorde2. |

| | We, like most people in Brighton, spent all of last week running round town watching as many bands as we could in a six day gig-a-thon. Thanks to everyone who played, worked, helped and supported the event...we couldn't do it without you..!

SAILOR JERRY SESSIONS AT ABOVE AUDIO | 28/09/2006 |
| | As part of Brighton Live we have teamed up with spiced rum brand Sailor Jerry to put on some awesome stripped down gigs from some of the hottest bands in town. The sessions take place between 6pm - 9pm in the bar Above Audio.
Tonight (Thursday 28th Sept) we have very special guests BRAKES (6pm), EARLY MORNING SOUNDTRACK (7pm) and THE DIRTY SOCIAL DISORDER (8pm) as well DJ sets from TOWERS OF LONDON and 80'S MATCHBOX.

| | Sadly it's time to say goodbye to our favourite hot puppies, The Mutts. The band, who are managed by Lisa Lout, celebrate the end of five fantastic years with three great shows this week: A stripped down set Tonight at Above Audio, Brighton; Thursday 28th at Club Fandango @ The Bordeline, London...and finally Friday 29th Sept at The Gloucester, Brighton (FREE ENTRY..!!).
